Data Scientist, Data Analyst
Overview
As a Data Scientist at Booz Allen, you will help transform complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges across private and public sectors—from fraud detection and cancer research to national intelligence. You’ll uncover insights from both structured and unstructured data, leveraging the possibilities of IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence (AI) to create real‑world impact.
Responsibilities• Work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs.
• Dive into data‑rich environments to identify key information pieces.
• Develop algorithms and systems, selecting appropriate tools and frameworks to combine disparate data into actionable insights.
• Provide a deep understanding of the data, its meaning, and how it can be used to support client decision‑making.
- 2+ years of experience with data cleansing, analysis, visualization, API connections, or data mining.
- 2+ years of experience analyzing structured and unstructured data.
- 1+ year of experience working with Python, including libraries such as Pandas or Numpy.
- Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, or natural language processing.
- Experience using cloud data tools within AWS, Azure, or Oracle.
- Secret clearance (applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation).
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Engineering AI solutions, including accessing LLM APIs, self‑hosting LLMs, fine‑tuning LLMs, or implementing Model Context Protocol.
- Experience with the War Data Platform, USAF VAULT, or Palantir Foundry.
- Experience with distributed data and computing tools such as Map Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL.
- Experience writing Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform or similar tools.
- Experience working with DoW clients.
- Experience developing visually compelling PowerPoint decks and other client delivery products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Secret clearance is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
CompensationThe projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $ (annualized USD).
