The Data Analyst will work with a team to provide high-quality service to our customers in managing a portfolio of systems. This role is responsible for executing data quality and data asset management activities.
This position is a collaborative role that supports analysis and research into data structures, attribution, maintenance, and models to ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic data management direction. The Data Analyst is also responsible for maintaining the visibility and integrity of the portfolio’s data asset inventory by identifying and closing information gaps.
The Data Analyst will work within an agile team to provide high-quality service to customers by applying analytical techniques to determine solutions aligned with client requirements within the IT services and solutions scope. The role involves analyzing and reverse-engineering business and technical artifacts to capture, store, and maintain met adata for systems within the portfolio. The Data Analyst may also develop and maintain data quality assessments and data profiles and will work closely with functional and technical data stewards to present findings and recommendations.
What You'll Do:
Analyze operational activities to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making and resource allocation.
Conceptually understand and convey complex topics related to data management, data governance, and data maturity to stakeholders and leadership.
Work with subject matter experts ( SMEs ) across organizations to collect and update business and technical met adata.
Reverse engineer data models and other design or build artifacts to extract relevant business and technical met adata and load into a met adata repository.
Review submitted data to detect data quality problems and anomalies and assist with correcting current and historical data.
Collect and analyze data and asso cia ted system artifacts to support stakeholders in improving business practices.
Perform analysis to determine how data can best be applied to benefit stakeholders.
Develop ETL routines to load and curate disparate data sets.
Analyze and reverse-engineer business and technical artifacts such as data models, data catalogs, design documentation, and interfaces.
Develop and maintain data quality assessments and data profiles.
Collaborate with functional and technical data stewards to present findings and provide recommendations.

You Have:
Experience in data analysis
Experience with ETL performance optimization or data movement sof tware such as Stream Sets, Databricks, or Jupyter Notebooks Experience using SQL for data analysis, and querying data
Experience with Python Knowledge of working with databases and tables
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with Air Force data
Experience with logistics
Experience in requirements elicitation
Experience in Information Management, including data design, data transformation, data governance, or DAMA DMBOK-aligned practices
Experience working with and defining data Experience in logical data modeling and data normalization
Experience interpreting data and analyzing results using statistical techniques
Experience with data collection systems and data collection strategies
Ability to logically articulate ideas verbally and diagrammatically
Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
