Cloud Virtual Infrastructure System Administrator

• Provide design, maintenance, and enhancement support for classified virtual infrastructure architecture
• Ensure compliance with applicable information assurance requirements
• Ensure 24/7 continuity of operations
• Create and update relevant system documents
• Support enterprise virtual infrastructure at the Beavercreek, Ohio facility
• Provision, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Amazon Work Spaces and EC2 instances running Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Administer management systems and containerized applications deployed in Kubernetes cluster environments
• Administer Microsoft Active Directory domains, including account management, group policy, authentication, permissions, and domain integration
• Automate virtual-machine provisioning, operating-system configuration, software deployment, and routine administration
• Prepare documentation related to system configurations and baselines
• Provide backup and recovery services; manage file systems and disk space
• Troubleshoot virtualized hardware, software, and network problems
• Manage user accounts and access controls in domain or stand-alone environments
• Work normal business hours with occasional non-business-hours support as required
• Collaborate with a specialized corporate IT and security team supporting a growing Air Force mission

• Minimum three (3) years of experience as a Windows and Linux Systems Administrator supporting patching, installation, configuration, maintenance, and flaw remediation of virtualized servers, workstations, and other computing components
• Valid Top Secret clearance with in-scope background investigation date
• DoD Directive 8570 / 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification (CompTIA Security+)
• Experience administering and troubleshooting Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux within an Amazon environment
• Experience with system hardening, vulnerability remediation, patch management, and configuration management
• Ability to monitor systems, troubleshoot operational issues, and document configurations, procedures, and corrective actions
• Working knowledge of AWS, including EC2, Amazon Work Spaces, and AWS Systems Manager (SSM)
• Experience with Ansible or other automation tools
• Working knowledge of S3, EFS, NFS, FSx, SMB, and NTFS storage file systems
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS, SSH, LDAP, and network troubleshooting
• Understanding of DISA STIGs, SCAP, vulnerability scanning, system hardening, and security remediation
• Experience with Power Shell, Bash, and/or Ansible
• Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and configuration records
• Ability to work in an Agile environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple networks in a dynamic, demanding environment
• Prior experience as a System Administrator in an organization of similar enterprise size and complexity (desired)
• Preferred experience with Docker, EKS/Kubernetes, Terraform/IaC, Helm, Git/Git Lab, container registries, and containerized applications
• Working knowledge of SSO, OIDC, SAML, IdP, and MFA
• Preferred experience with Keycloak, App Gate SDP, and Zero Trust technologies
• Understanding of networking concepts and cybersecurity tools, including DISA STIG, SCAP, and vulnerability scanners

Demonstrates expertise in administering and troubleshooting Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux within an Amazon environment, with a strong focus on system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance with information assurance requirements. Capable of automating virtual-machine provisioning and managing user accounts in both domain and stand-alone environments.
