Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opening for Program Manager 2 (PM) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within the F-35 Program Management organization. This leadership role is an onsite opportunity which may be located in El Segundo, CA
, or Beavercreek, OH
.

The PM will be responsible for managing a subset of programs within the F-35 Fleet Readiness & Sustainment Operating Unit (FR&S OU) through all phases of program life cycle; proposal development, negotiation, startup, execution, and completion (contract closeout).

Primary Responsibilities Are Included But Not Limited To
  • Responsibility for profit and loss (P&L) for the PM's programs.
  • Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance for assigned program scope.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives and align execution across engineering, plans and schedules, production, quality, and supply chain.
  • Manage supplier performance to meet program and customer objectives
  • Measure and report program performance, including risks, opportunities, and compliance with contractual and technical requirements.
  • Serves as the primary interface with the customer, managing expectations, priorities, and issue resolution while balancing contractual requirements with operational execution constraints.

The specific program scope for the PM will be dependent upon their assigned portfolio:

  • Field Support:
    Manage F-35 fleet modification and/or contractor logistical support (CLS) at multiple domestic sites to maintain / upgrade the F-35 fleet.
  • Sustaining Engineering:
    Manage engineering support programs to ensure operational readiness and effective mission support for F35 Fleet.
  • Support Equipment:
    Manage domestic & international suppliers to provide support equipment for stand‑up and operations of F-35 bases for USG & foreign partners.
  • Supply Support:
    Manage internal & external spares and repairs for the F-35 scope managed by NGAS to ensure fleet readiness.

Basic

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience as defined below, OR a Master's degree and 6 years of related experience as defined below:
  • Related experience includes professional and/or military experience including project management, program management, sustainment, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions.
  • Profit & loss responsibility with demonstrated ability to achieve financial performance targets and use of Earned Value Management.
  • Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. Government Secret Clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
