Responsibilities & RequirementsThe Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Critical Care provides advanced clinical care to critically ill patients in intensive care settings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. This role performs comprehensive assessments, advanced procedures, and ongoing management of complex cases in accordance with state law and organizational policy. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health’s mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse; completion of graduate-level clinical practicum in an advanced practice nursing program.
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of Ohio.
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a relevant specialty area from a board-approved certifying organization (e.g., ANCC, AANP).
- Current DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to prescribing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Ph.D. in Nursing. Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or intensive care settings. Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
