Vitamin & Body Care Clerk
Fresh Thyme Farmers Market is looking for a dedicated Vitamin & Body Care Clerk to maintain clean, organized aisles and outstanding customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Ensure cleanliness of natural living aisles, storage area, and work area for safety; clean shelves and products, keep floors free of liquid spills, remove hazardous debris, and sweep.
- Stock department items per schematics, present products, face, fill, and organize; maintain tag and pricing accuracy.
- Control product rotation, inspect for expiration, discard outdated or spoiled items, and keep a code date log.
- Assist customers with inquiries, purchases, product selection, and cross‑sell products.
- Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality.
- Monitor point‑of‑purchase signs and maintain recipe cards, coupons, promotional material, and product information.
- Participate in pre‑inventory preparation, including back stock and ensuring tags match products.
- Maintain high product knowledge and prepare product information for customers.
- Walk department regularly to maintain organization, sanitation, and overall clean appearance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalency degree.
- Preferred 1–2 years grocery retail experience in a Vitamin & Body Care department.
- Experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.
- Deliver highest level of customer service at all times.
- Adapt to high‑volume retail and collaborate within a cross‑functional team.
- Initiate problem resolution proactively.
- Show flexibility in varied situations.
- Demonstrate advanced attention to detail, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Communicate verbal and interpersonal skills and work cross‑functionally with peers and management.
- Multitask and organize effectively.
- Support team goals and work varied hours/days as business dictates.
- Understand Health Department guidelines and grocery retail regulations.
- Apply basic math, weights, and measures.
- Use advanced knowledge of Natural Living products to answer customer questions.
- Sit – Rarely 1–2 hours
- Stand – Continuously 1–8 hours
- Walk – Continuously 2–8 hours
- Drive – Frequently 2–4 hours
- Bend, climb, crawl, crouch/squat, kneel, twist, reach, lift, and grasp with 33% to 66% frequency as described.
- Vehicle commuting with frequent driving of 2–4 hours.
- Competitive hourly pay: $14.50 – $16.00, with raises per company policy.
