Facilities Maintenance Technician – Beavercreek Site
GE Aerospace’s Beavercreek facility manufactures gas turbine tubes, ducts, and manifolds, and provides repair and overhaul services. The role focuses on preventative and corrective maintenance of production equipment, ensuring operational reliability and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment such as induction vacuum furnaces, electric furnaces, natural gas kilns, steam autoclaves, leaching autoclaves, robotic shell line operation, mixers, injection machines, and cure ovens.
- Repair and maintain mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems and components.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of plant HVAC, chillers, and rooftop units.
- Study building plans, schematics and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence repairs or installations.
- Support cell moves, in‑house rigging efforts, and building projects.
- Order and track material required for repairs.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and manlifts.
- Comply with LOTO and other safety regulations.
- Willingness to learn and be coachable.
- Ability to keep the team informed of work progress, timelines, and issues.
- Experience reading technical manuals and developing statements of work.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Team player who resolves complex corrective maintenance tasks.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Customer‑service oriented toward coworkers, internal customers, contractors, OEM representatives, and technicians.
- Punctual and respects attendance and meeting schedules.
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
- At least two years of prior experience in varied maintenance disciplines.
- Intermediate knowledge of electrical work compliant with the NEC.
- Maintenance and/or electrical certifications.
- Experience with HMI and PLC systems (Allen Bradley and Rockwell PLCs).
- Proficiency navigating PCs and mobile devices.
- Prior team and leadership experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical control schematics.
- Capability to install or repair electrical service.
- Experience repairing mechanical equipment, especially vacuum systems and automated equipment.
Ability to work overtime as needed and be available for emergency on‑call duties. Maintenance performance is tracked daily and aggregated in monthly reports to leadership.
