Software Engineer
Awetomaton is seeking a Software Engineer to support existing customers at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. In this role you will work with a team of 10-15 managing and sustaining an enterprise analysis platform to derive insights from raw sensor data. The ideal candidate will possess a BS degree or higher in engineering or related field. This position will largely be performed from WPAFB and require a security clearance.
Sponsorship is available, but Active Top Secret is highly preferred.
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form with peers & decision makers
- Demonstrate initiative when faced with limited guidance or ambiguous requirements
- Familiarity with platform management concepts including containerization and Kubernetes
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or Software focused Engineering discipline
- Mastery of software configuration management using Git
Education and Experience
- Expertise developing modular, reusable software via strong Object-Oriented Software development practices
- Experience with Container Technology (Docker / podman / etc.)
- Experience following Git Flow and Git Ops workflows using team repository (Git Hub / Gitlab / etc.)
- Ability to apply agentic tooling to accelerate development velocity
