In this role, you will directly contribute to the advancement of modeling, simulation, and secure platform development essential to national security.

At K , you'll be working on cutting‑edge projects that support the Department of the Air Force’s most mission‑critical operations. Our team is pushing the boundaries of open source development, Dev Sec Ops  with state‑of‑the‑art CI/CD pipelines, containerization, Kubernetes, Terraform, Zarf, and innovative API management and database design. You'll be contributing to systems designed for a modeling and simulation SaaS platform that provides dynamic compute power, access to tools, and collaboration capability through a model that will revolutionize the future of military research and development.

As Software Developer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing secure, end‑to‑end cluster and application life cycles in cloud environments. A key aspect of your technical team lead role will be to lead development of the platform’s administrative and platform services, including user management, licensing, usage tracking, application on‑boarding, and core platform infrastructure in a secure, cloud‑based environment.

• Lead development and delivery of modeling and simulation software solutions
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering teams
• Design and implement Dev Sec Ops  pipelines using Git Lab CI/CD
• Develop and maintain software systems in C++ for high‑performance applications
• Build and manage artifact pipelines using Artifactory
• Develop and support cross‑platform applications (Linux and Windows environments)
• Perform development and optimization within RHEL‑based systems
• Contribute to secure system design, implementation, and compliance practices
• Integrate simulation tools and services into larger platform architectures
• Support system integration, testing, and deployment pipelines
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with mission requirements
• Maintain documentation and enforce best practices across development life cycles

• Active Secret clearance with TS eligibility
• 5+ years of experience in Modeling & Simulation development
• Strong proficiency in C++ development
• Demonstrated experience with Git Lab CI/CD pipelines
• Hands‑on experience with Dev Sec Ops  practices and secure software delivery
• Experience managing artifacts using Artifactory
• Strong experience with cross‑platform development (Linux & Windows)
• Experience developing in RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) environments
• Experience with MATLAB for modeling or Simulation development
• Proven ability to lead technical efforts and mentor junior engineers
• Strong problem‑solving and system design skills

• Experience in Aerospace modeling or simulation development
