PositionSummary
The Springs Living is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant to join our team! This position plays a key part in the accurate and timely financial management of our senior living communities, overseeing general ledger functions, financial reporting, treasury operations, and intercompany accounting. The Senior Accountant ensures compliance with GAAP and applicable healthcare regulations while partnering with leadership to provide meaningful financial analysis and operational insights that support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage general ledger for assigned communities, journal entries, accruals, and complex account reconciliations
- Perform variance analysis and identify trends affecting community performance
- Treasury Management
- Prepare cash position reports
- Process ACH/wire transfers, manage banking relationships, and support cash flow forecasting
- Assist in optimizing cash management processes across multiple entities
- Intercompany Accounting
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple senior living communities timely
- Ensure accuracy of intercompany balances, settlements, and eliminations during month-end close
- Maintain proper documentation and support consolidated financial reporting
- Process & Systems
- Support enhancements to accounting workflows and financial systems
- Assist with internal controls documentation
- Leverage ERP/accounting software and advanced Excel modeling for reporting and analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or CPA-track preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; senior living or healthcare industry experience preferred
- Proven treasury and cash management experience
- Strong intercompany accounting experience, including reconciliations and eliminations
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Proficiency in major accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across a multi-site organization
