Responsibilities

Are you an organized, proactive Accounts Receivable professional who enjoys ownership, problem‑solving, and building strong working relationships? This part‑time Accounts Receivable Specialist role offers the chance to take end‑to‑end responsibility for AR activities in a fast‑moving ecommerce environment, while partnering closely with both customers and internal teams.

As Part‑Time Accounts Receivable Specialist, you’ll manage invoicing, cash application, and account reconciliation, ensuring accuracy across all accounts receivable records. A strict eye for detail is crucial here, as you’ll actively monitor aging reports, follow up on past‑due balances, and communicate directly with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues in a timely and professional manner.

In this role, you’ll have to have strong communication skills, and you’ll collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to support billing accuracy and smooth issue resolution, prepare AR reports, assist with month‑end close activities, submit sales tax records where required, and support audits as needed. This role also includes overseeing credit processes in line with company policy and recommending process improvements to increase efficiency.

Success in this role requires someone who is detail‑oriented, highly organized, and genuinely proactive. You’ll have to be comfortable working independently, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines without constant oversight. Confidence with Excel, analytical thinking, and a willingness to document and improve processes are key to success.

This is a fully on‑site role at our client’s beautiful Beaverton office space, where after a short training period, you’ll have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule one day a week in office. You’ll also start off working 15‑20 hours per week, and eventually, the right candidate could see themselves working 30+ hours a week!

Benefits
  • PTO and holiday pay
  • Profit‑related bonus
  • Automatic enrollment in the company’s 401(k) account
  • Health care benefits if promoted into a full‑time role
