GL Accountant Beaverton, OR (Onsite) $70,000 - $80,000 + Excellent Benefits
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a respected nonprofit healthcare organization to recruit a GL Accountant. This full-time, onsite opportunity offers the chance to join a mission-driven organization.
Reporting to the Controller, the GL Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and reporting requirements. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment where their contributions directly support community-focused services.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare journal entries, accruals, deferrals, and general ledger reconciliations
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Review, analyze, and correct financial reports as needed
- Assist with audit preparation and auditor requests
- Provide support with accounts payable activities during peak periods
- Maintain accounting records and ensure proper record retention
- Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and special projects
- Support process improvement initiatives and enhance accounting efficiencies
- Perform additional accounting-related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience
- Strong understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Healthcare industry experience
- Nonprofit accounting experience
- Familiarity with payroll accounting and financial systems
- CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus
- Experience with Paycom or similar HRIS platforms
