Lanphere Auto Group is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team and play an essential role in keeping our dealership operations financially accurate, organized, and running smoothly. If you’re someone who enjoys working with numbers, catching the details others miss, and taking ownership of your work, this could be a great fit.
Our A/P team manages a high volume of monthly invoices, GL entries and reconciliations, expense report reconciliation, and a variety of other accounting responsibilities. This is a hands-on, traditional accounting role where accuracy matters and your work directly supports the day-to-day success of our dealerships.
We’re looking for someone with strong accounting acumen and at least one year of dealership accounting experience who understands the importance of timely, accurate, and consistent transaction posting.

- One years' experience in a similar role, dealership experience required
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Attention-to-detail with a demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Positive attitude
- Mature responsibility to attendance and punctuality (especially during month-end)
- CDK, bookkeeping, and dealership experience a must (Lightspeed experience will take you to the front of the line)
- Critical thinking and effective time management
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency
- Month end closing
- Post payables invoices for five dealerships in a paperless payable environment
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Issue payments to vendors on a monthly basis
- Answers vendor inquiries
- Maintain accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files
- Assist corporate financial officers and branch personnel as necessary
- Assist in monthly closings
- Prepare analysis of accounts, as required
- Other duties as assigned
