Strategic Planner 5 will support a high-impact strategic initiative within Nike Apparel, partnering closely with the Product Strategy Team and cross-functional Apparel Leadership Team. This is a short-term coverage role (partial parental leave coverage) supporting a critical apparel classification playbook project and providing ad hoc strategic support to the Head of Nike Apparel. Prior Nike experience is highly preferred due to the engagement length.
Job Description- Develop and drive strategic plans to support continued growth and profitability
- Lead short- and long-term business direction, goal setting, and process alignment
- Conduct environmental scans, organizational positioning analyses, and strategic studies
- Identify and evaluate strategic initiatives aligned with long-range corporate goals
- Drive planning processes ensuring all corporate gates, milestones, and deliverables are met
- Monitor key indicators and recommend strategy redirection when necessary
- Lead development of annual and 3-year strategic initiatives at the regional level
- Align business unit objectives to broader corporate strategy
- Support Quarterly Business Review (Q ) preparation and performance accountability
- Support a key strategic project:
Apparel Classification Playbook (cross-sport apparel management framework) - Develop executive‑ready slide decks and high‑impact written materials
- Provide ad‑hoc strategic support to the Head of Nike Apparel
- Partner cross‑functionally with Apparel Leadership Team and Product Strategy stakeholders
- 10+ years of experience in strategic planning
- Strategic planning, forecasting, and business analysis expertise
- Strong project management capabilities
- High‑impact written communication skills
- Ability to build executive‑level slide decks
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree required
- Prior Nike experience (highly preferred)
- Apparel industry experience
- Ability to build relationships quickly
- Experience navigating executive stakeholders
- Bias for action and strong ownership mindset
- Experience working in a corporate matrix environment
