Position: Merchandise Planner 3

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client located in Beaverton, Oregon who is looking for a Merchandise Planner 3. In this role, you will establish clear stock and sales plans that tell a story for the season and collaborate with merchandising and business units to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns future financial plans and product opportunities. You will recap and analyze the business against the financial plan and forecast in‑season sales and inventories on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

This role will include presenting financial plans, forecasts, and strategies at key meetings. You will proactively report on the health of the business and facilitate smart business decisions, communicating financial results, forecasts, and action plans to managers and cross‑functional team members on a weekly basis. You will collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices, and develop systems knowledge.

In addition, you will participate in a team structure that facilitates and maximizes individual and team performance, supporting an open and inclusive environment that embraces diversity, encourages accountability, and drives toward results.

Key Accountabilities
  • Support product forecasting and pricing processes by managing reporting tools, analyzing data, and providing actionable insights
  • Construct and maintain reporting tools for use across the planning team
  • Manage the weekly markdown process across the portfolio, in system, and in alignment with stakeholders
  • Monitor price positioning across the marketplace and product portfolio, taking actions to adjust in accordance with overall pricing strategy
  • Support monthly and seasonal inventory management activities
  • Actively manage product life cycles across seasons through close‑out process and aging inventory
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or an equivalent
  • 2–3 years of professional experience
  • Microsoft Excel at high‑intermediate to advanced level
  • Ability to independently drive toward a clear outcome with an unclear path
  • Natural tendency to organize information from various sources and shape clean processes to drive repeatable, sustainable outcomes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to curate and share actionable insights from multiple data sources
  • Experience working in a retail environment
  • Proven track record in retail planning, merchandising, inventory management, or related operational disciplines
  • Intermediate data manipulation and visualization skills (e.g., SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, Power

    BI)
  • Experience communicating to executive and a variety of non‑technical audiences
Compensation and Benefits

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability, and ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
