Strategic Project Lead / Project Manager Non-IT 5
We are seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused Project Manager to support critical retail partnership initiatives involving major sporting goods retailers. This is a high-visibility role responsible for driving the execution of multi-year strategic programs across product and marketing functions while supporting business growth and product rollouts. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in strategic project management, cross-functional leadership, executive stakeholder management, and program execution within complex enterprise environments.
Candidates with experience from Big 4 consulting firms and Fortune 500 organizations are strongly preferred.
- Own day-to-day project orchestration, including project onboarding, initiative timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Build and maintain integrated project plans and workback schedules across cross-functional teams.
- Track project progress, identify risks, manage dependencies, and ensure timely execution.
- Gather updates from initiative owners and drive accountability across work streams.
- Prepare materials for weekly business reviews, milestone reviews, and leadership meetings.
- Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of complex initiatives.
- Drive alignment across multiple stakeholders to achieve shared business objectives.
- Facilitate recurring and ad hoc working sessions and leadership meetings.
- Translate discussions into actionable plans, ownership assignments, and timelines.
- Serve as a key connector across sales, business integration, product, and marketing teams.
- Communicate program strategy, progress, risks, and impact to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Provide regular updates and proactively remove blockers to maintain momentum.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable execution plans.
- Support engagement with senior leaders and external partners.
- Develop executive-ready communications, presentations, summaries, project trackers, and risk logs.
- Synthesize complex information into clear recommendations and business narratives.
- Translate ambiguity into structured frameworks and actionable plans.
- Support development of long-term partnership and growth strategies.
- Contribute to strategic frameworks and executive-level presentations.
- Make informed decisions and drive progress in rapidly changing environments.
- Continuously improve processes, tools, and project execution methodologies.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of experience in strategic project management, program management, consulting, strategy, business operations, product releases, or marketing initiatives.
- Strong experience building schedules, coordinating cross-functional teams, and managing enterprise-scale projects.
- Proven ability to introduce new tools, processes, and strategic thinking to improve execution.
Experience working at Big 4 consulting firms (Client, EY, KPMG, or PwC) and/or supporting Fortune 500 clients. - Strong project management foundation with expertise in large-scale program execution.
- Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong critical thinking, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.l
- Ability to influence stakeholders, drive alignment, and secure buy-in across multiple teams.
- Experience operating successfully in highly matrixed organizations.
- Experience developing executive-level presentations and communications.
- Ability to think on the fly, pivot quickly, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
- Previous experience supporting large retail, consumer products, or sportswear organizations.
- Previous industry experience preferred.
- PMP Certification preferred but not required.
- Airtable experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with industry-standard project management and collaboration tools.
