We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a
Commercialization Project Manager (Food & Beverage) for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in 100% Remote. Details for the position are as follows:
Job Description:
Duration: 4 months (potential temp to hire)
Pay: $55-65/hr.
Our client is seeking a Commercialization Project Manager to lead end-to-end product commercialization initiatives within the food and beverage industry. This role is responsible for managing complex innovation and product development projects from concept through market launch, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate has hands-on commercialization experience in a CPG or food & beverage environment and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end commercialization projects, from product concept through launch and post-launch evaluation.
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, timelines, and stage-gate milestones.
- Manage multiple concurrent commercialization projects while balancing competing priorities.
- Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Sales to ensure successful execution.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate project status to key stakeholders and leadership.
- Drive stage-gate decision making and ensure project deliverables meet quality, cost, and timeline expectations.
- Monitor project performance using key metrics and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings, ensuring alignment and accountability across project teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve commercialization processes and implement best practices to increase speed to market and operational efficiency.
- Influence stakeholders and build consensus to achieve successful project outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3+ years of experience managing commercialization projects or cross-functional project teams within the food and beverage industry.
- Proven experience leading product development and commercialization initiatives in a CPG or food & beverage environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders across multiple business functions.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to drive project decisions.
- Ability to identify risks, manage changing priorities, and deliver projects successfully.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus but not required.
- Experience with stage-gate product development processes.
- Demonstrated success supporting innovation portfolios and new product launches.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of commercialization within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
