We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for developing accurate, competitive estimates and proposals for large-scale commercial roofing projects while working closely with leadership, field teams, customers, and vendors to ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate will have extensive commercial roofing experience, strong estimating abilities, and the ability to manage multiple projects and bids in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

This individual will play a key role in supporting company growth by developing profitable estimates, strengthening customer relationships, and helping improve estimating and project management processes. This position is ideal for a commercial roofing professional who understands both the technical and business sides of roofing construction and can support projects from initial bid development through completion.

• Develop detailed estimates and proposals for commercial and industrial roofing projects ranging from $1 million to $5 million+.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project requirements to develop accurate project pricing.
• Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs.
• Estimate project costs including labor requirements, roofing materials, equipment needs, subcontractor pricing, project timelines, production requirements, and profit margins.
• Prepare competitive bids while ensuring alignment with company profitability goals.
• Estimate various commercial roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, PVC, BUR (Built-Up Roofing), Modified Bitumen, roof coatings, and other commercial roofing applications.
• Review and approve final estimates with management prior to bid submission.
• Identify potential project risks, exclusions, and opportunities for cost improvements.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, building owners, facility managers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Participate in bid presentations, customer meetings, and project negotiations.
• Develop vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing and dependable material availability.
• Serve as a professional representative during the preconstruction and sales process.

• Support projects from estimating and preconstruction through completion.
• Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination.
• Monitor project progress, production performance, and financial results.
• Assist with management of contracts, change orders, project documentation, cost tracking, and reports.
• Work with field leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

• Serve as a senior resource and leader within the estimating department.
• Mentor and support estimators and supervisors.
• Help develop and improve estimating procedures, systems, and best practices.
• Assist leadership with implementing and improving CRM systems, project management processes, job costing procedures, forecasting, and pipeline management.
• Provide industry knowledge and market insight to help improve competitiveness and company growth.

• Minimum 5 years of commercial or industrial roofing experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Proven experience estimating commercial roofing projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Strong understanding of construction estimating and project management principles.
• Knowledge of field production metrics and roofing installation processes.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience estimating commercial roofing projects valued at $1M or greater.
• Experience with commercial roofing sales and customer development.
• Experience with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
• Experience mentoring estimators or leading estimating teams.
• Technical training in roofing, construction management, or related field.
