Motion Designer – Digital & Social Creative

The Motion Designer will be responsible for creating storytelling‑led and visually engaging videos, graphics, and visual effects for various media platforms such as social media, paid media, websites, etc. This role involves collaborating with creative directors/art directors, copy and social, and translating creative concepts into compelling videos, motion graphics, and motion graphic ecosystems. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast‑paced and creative environment and bring both creative and technical expertise across a large variety of assets and projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in the conceptualizing and storyboarding process
  • Execute high‑quality videos and motion designs that align with the project's objectives and brand guidelines
  • Edit videos, color film and work on title designs, adding a level of excitement, elevation and modernity to every project
  • Showcase expertise in video editing and motion graphics software, design principles, storytelling
  • Handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and help oversee the production process
  • Collaborate effectively within a team, present ideas, receive feedback, and address cross‑functional and leadership requirements
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to deliver innovative and impactful visual content
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
  • 3‑5 years in video editing and motion design or related fields with the ability to create visually appealing and impactful videos
  • Experience with in fashion, beauty and luxury industries
  • Robust portfolio showcasing a variety of projects demonstrating creativity in storytelling, technical skills, and an understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, composition
  • Proficiency in video editing, color‑grading, visual effects, motion graphics, compositing and other relevant techniques
  • Knowledge of editing and post‑production processes
  • Experience with video retouching a plus
  • Mastery of industry‑standard video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Da Vinci Resolve, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop and other relevant tools
  • AI‑driven design knowledge required
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills for collaborating with creative/art directors and cross‑functional teams
  • Keen attention to detail and a critical eye for quality, ensuring deliverables meet luxury standards

New York, NY (Tribeca)

Work Model

Hybrid Monday - Friday (3 Days in Office / 2 Days Remote)

Estimated Base Salary

$65,000–$75,000 plus benefits including healthcare, 401(k), bonus, employee discounts, paid time off, etc.
