About the RoleWe're looking for a highly creative and detail-oriented Lead Designer, Color to help shape seasonal direction for basketball apparel. In this role, you'll bring color to life through compelling storytelling, trend-driven design, and strong collaboration across product, design, and development teams. This is a hands‑on creative role where you'll influence product from concept through execution.
What You'll Do- Develop seasonal color palettes and narratives for basketball apparel collections
- Translate consumer insights and cultural trends into impactful design stories
- Partner with cross-functional teams to execute design vision from concept to prototype
- Create and deliver high-quality presentations to internal stakeholders
- Contribute to concept development, schematic reviews, and product refinement
- Support multiple projects while maintaining a high level of creativity and precision
- 3‑6+ years of experience in color design, apparel design, or related field
- Strong portfolio showcasing color theory, storytelling, and product application
- Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and proficiency in Photoshop
- Experience with tools like CLO 3D, Vizcom, and Miro
- Solid understanding of textiles, materials, and apparel construction
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience across both footwear and apparel
- Strong presentation skills with experience sharing work to senior stakeholders
- Background in sportswear, streetwear, or performance apparel
- Passion for basketball and sport culture
- Hybrid schedule (4 days onsite weekly)
- Collaborative, team‑oriented environment (~10-person core team)
- Streamlined interview process (typically 2 rounds)
- Portfolio required for consideration
