* You will report directly to the Sportswear Production Art Senior Manager, while working in collaboration with fellow Production Artists and Graphic Designers, Color Designers, and Product Designers. Your primary cross functional partners will be Accessories Design, Graphic Design, Product Management, Technical Development and Material Development.
** WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR*
* We are looking for a Senior Production Artist to join the Production Art Dept, focusing on Accessories. We are looking someone who loves the technical details of the design process as well as finding new ways of working. We are experts at putting art on both physical prototypes and digital renders. This role amplifies Design by delivering flawless, production-ready files, while creating time and space for Designers to be their most creative.
You are a trusted resource within the Design, creating detailed and accurate schematics, with the ability to run point for Production Art by attending relevant planning meetings, owning personal action items/workload, and being available as the go-to graphic production resource for a greater, cross-functioning team. This role requires a creative mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, while keeping production moving forward.
No day is the same, the work is dynamic, and you must be willing to roll up your sleeves to solve complex creative problems.
+ Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ 5+ years of experience in a design and/or production environment
+ Advanced knowledge of Illustrator and Adobe Suite
+ Advanced knowledge of graphic applications such as ink types and trim substrates
+ Understanding of product lifecycle and key deliverables, experience in Accessories a bonus
+ Expert-Level listening, communication, organization, problem-solving skills
+ Proven ability to support and lead peers in new tools and ways of working
+ Ability to navigate ambiguity while continuing to collaborate with the team
+ Laser focus on the critical details that often get missed
+ Ability to multi-task amidst competing priorities
+ Curiosity for learning and building a strong design community
+ Basic understanding of 3D apparel programs (CLO or Lotta)
+ Understanding of Smartsheets, Airtable, and Miro is a plus
+ A love for sports is a bonus but a love for design is essential
** WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON*
* If this is you, you will be working on highly visible product across Accessories Design, including (but not limited to) Global Football, Basketball, Kobe, and Sportswear. This is where sport, design and culture meet and where we are amplifying Nike's impact for
* athletes. You will work with Design to create and finalize graphic details across multiple levels of product.
You will do this by leveraging 2D and 3D tools. A typical day could include Production Art meetings and alignment, high-volume schematic creation and lay-down product page creation, creating documentation for downstream partners and reviewing strike-offs. In addition to creation, you will be responsible for tracking and maintaining updates on all appropriate files for accuracy through final approval. In this role, you will play a big role in developing new tools for alignment and driving greater efficiency in the product creation process.
