What You’ll Do
- Deliver high-visibility apparel concepts, contributing to both ongoing projects and new initiatives for future seasons.
- Collaborate closely with a diverse team of designers, including graphic and color specialists, as well as cross-functional partners in product management, merchandising, material/trim development, technical development, and sourcing.
- Translate cultural, consumer, and athlete insights and trends into performance and style-led products.
- Shape both men’s and women’s apparel collections, bringing cohesive, performance-driven products to life each season through compelling narratives, material novelty, and innovative craft.
- Conduct in-depth research on fashion, design, and sport culture to inform creative strategies.
- Participate in brainstorm sessions and design reviews to achieve desired product goals.
- Continuously upskill ways of working through advanced design programs and physical prototyping.
- Apply foundational design skills, including illustrations across analog and digital platforms, to execute detail-oriented design assets.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant experience in an apparel design role.
- Expertise in industry-standard design software.
- Familiarity with 3D rendering software.
- Outstanding ability to apply foundational design skills, including illustrations, with a comprehensive understanding of materials and fit.
- Expertise in men’s and women’s apparel design, fit, materials, and fashion.
- A compelling portfolio demonstrating insight-driven design, concept/narrative development, problem-solving, and polished execution of performance and style apparel products.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proven success collaborating across cross-functional teams and presenting concepts to stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities of varying complexity through ambiguity to completion.
- A keen eye for design, creative thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for apparel craft and innovation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel/Fashion Design or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training).
- Experience with 3D design software.
- Strong emotional intelligence and process proficiencies.
