Position: Pattern Engineer 3

Pay: $48.00 per hour Hours: Monday–Friday; 8AM–5PM Location: Beaverton, OR 97005

Overview

Full-time leave coverage supporting Women’s Golf with additional support for Tennis. The role requires a seasoned technical pattern engineer who can independently create and modify garment patterns and evaluate fit for performance women’s athletic apparel.

Job Description
  • Build technical garment patterns from designer sketches and specifications.
  • Create detailed technical drawings, measurements, and construction documentation used in production.
  • Develop patterns from scratch and modify existing patterns for fit, function, and manufacturability.
  • Conduct fit assessments and make pattern adjustments based on wear testing and feedback.
  • Partner with designers, product developers, and manufacturing teams throughout the development cycle.
  • Maintain clear documentation of pattern changes using digital record-keeping tools.
  • Support athlete-facing fittings when required and represent the brand professionally.
  • Focus on garment construction rather than graphic, color, or creative design work.
Required Skills
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Designer or Pattern Engineer in apparel.
  • Strong expertise in pattern making and pattern adjustment for women’s athletic wear.
  • Ability to build patterns from scratch based on sketches and technical direction.
  • Deep knowledge of garment construction for knits (wovens acceptable; knits preferred).
  • Experience assessing garment fit and translating fit feedback into pattern revisions.
  • Comfort working in athlete-facing fittings and representing the brand.
  • Experience using digital record-keeping tools such as PDM, PCX, PLM, or web-based systems for change tracking and comments.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills
  • Performance wear experience.
  • Outerwear, dresses, and/or skirts experience.
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; formal training in pattern making, apparel construction, or technical design preferred.
