Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Designer Specialized 3 to support a special project focused on technical bag design and product development. This role is ideal for a highly technical designer with extensive experience creating detailed tech packs, translating concepts into manufacturable products, and collaborating closely with factories and development teams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bag design, technical documentation, and product commercialization, with the ability to transform design concepts into production-ready products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and build technical elements of bag and carry-product designs.
• Create detailed tech packs and technical documentation for manufacturing.
• Translate concepts and design ideas into production-ready products.
• Collaborate with internal product development, engineering, and technical teams.
• Work directly with factory partners to ensure design intent and manufacturability.
• Review and refine technical drawings, specifications, materials, and construction details.
• Support product development from concept through commercialization.
• Provide technical expertise to improve product functionality, construction, and performance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in technical bag design and product development.
• Strong experience creating comprehensive tech packs for bags or carry products.
• Proven ability to develop technical design solutions and manufacturing specifications.
• Experience producing technical drawings and detailed product documentation.
• Portfolio showcasing:
  • Technical bag design work
  • Technical drawings
  • Product development examples
  • Utility/performance-focused products preferred over fashion-focused products
• Strong understanding of bag construction, materials, trims, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience taking AI-generated concepts and converting them into manufacturable products.
• Experience working directly with factories and manufacturing partners.
• Experience collaborating with internal technical development teams.
• Previous experience within the athletic, outdoor, performance, or consumer products industry.
• Previous experience supporting large global product brands is highly preferred.
