Running Material Designer

Beaverton, Oregon Job Type: Contract Compensation Range: $46 - 49 per hour

Are you ready to shape the future of athletic performance and culture through disruptive material innovation? As a Senior Footwear Materials Designer for a global leader in athletic footwear and apparel, you will drive the seasonal creative direction for core athletic and lifestyle categories. In this high-impact role, you will partner cross-functionally to transform deep consumer insights into market-leading material narratives that elevate the end-to-end consumer experience.

Responsibilities:

Formulate comprehensive seasonal material strategies to elevate core performance footwear categories and strengthen consumer emotional connection.

Execute end-to-end material design workflows-from initial concepting and 3D mockups to final tech pack delivery-ensuring absolute design integrity.

Pioneer sustainable, high-performance material applications by leveraging cutting-edge manufacturing processes and innovative technical builds.

Spearhead cross-functional collaboration with digital design, marketing, and global supply chain partners to scale strategic product executions seamlessly.

Qualifications:

4+ years of progressive material, textile, or footwear design experience within a high-growth consumer products environment.

Expertise in upper material construction, advanced manufacturing processes, and technical physical mockups/3D sampling.

Proven track record of translating complex consumer trends into commercially successful, purpose-driven design narratives.

Bachelor's degree in Design, Industrial Design, Textile Design, or equivalent professional experience; advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).  Opportunity
