Cedar Hills Recreation Center (CHRC) is hiring a dedicated and organized Middle School Program Support to lead THPRD’s Middle School Cross Country and Track & Field programs serving 10 Beaverton middle schools.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for Cross Country, Track & Field, and youth athletics; strong organizational and communication skills (both spoken and written); and a team-oriented mindset.
PayThe hiring range for this position is $27.00 to $30.44
, based on experience and internal equity. The full hourly range for this job classification is $27.00 to $30.44. Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.
This is a year-round position averaging 29 hours per week.
Required workdays are Tuesdays and Thursdays, typically from 1:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., with shifts sometimes extending later into the evening.
Attendance at all scheduled Track & Field and Cross-Country meets is mandatory. Meets are generally held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with occasional weekend hours as needed. Part-time schedules vary based on program needs and will not exceed 1,560 hours per year.
Responsibilities- Develop, coordinate, supervise, and instruct daily activities during the fall Cross Country and spring Track & Field seasons.
- Provide lead direction to assigned part-time staff and volunteers.
- Support year-round onsite sports programming at CHRC.
- Assist with additional middle school programs and summer camp offerings.
- Provide support for the center’s Elementary Track Program.
- Assist with other sports and recreation programs throughout the year.
- Support special events and facility operations as needed.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications OR willing to obtain at time of hire.
- Valid Oregon Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
- Experience with cross country and track is required.
- Preferred:
Experience with meet management and/or Fully Automatic Timing (FAT) equipment.
