Paraeducator : Classroom Support & Student Safety

PARA EDUCATOR 1 (Probationary)

The Para educator 1 assists the Teacher in the delivery of an instructional program, through preparation of the classroom and materials, and through working with individual and small groups of students. The Para educator 1 also provides supervision of student activities in order to ensure that the school maintains a safe and orderly environment.

Supervises and safeguards students while crossing at a designated crosswalk to assure pedestrian safety and demonstrate proper safety procedures.

Hourly Rate:
Para educator 1 $ 23.41–$29.58 per hour. Crossing Guard $18.77–$24.40 per hour, 5 days per week based on the number of calendar work days.

• Para educator I: 7:45 am – 2:15 pm.
• Crossing Guard: 7:15 am – 7:45 am and 2:15 pm – 2:45 pm.
