TEACHER – The teacher plans and implements an instructional program that fosters learning and growth, creates a supportive learning environment, and guides students toward reaching their academic, social, intellectual, and physical potential.
Must have 2,000 hours of verifiable recent and relevant industry experience for the required CTE endorsement and will instruct at least one section of STEM Physics.
Responsibilities- Develop curriculum, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with CTE Engineering standards.
- Deliver instruction in engineering courses and at least one STEM Physics section.
- Incorporate hands‑on activities and real‑world projects to enhance student engagement.
- Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and industry partners to support student success.
- Minimum of 2,000 hours of recent and relevant industry experience in engineering.
- Certification and/or endorsement in CTE Engineering for the Beaverton School District.
- Valid teaching credentials or willingness to obtain required credentials during the probationary period.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt instruction to diverse student needs.
