Job Title
Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer
Primary Job Functions- Lead day‑to‑day contractor safety management at the Analog Devices Beaverton site, including contractor onboarding, pre‑job planning, permit review, field oversight, and compliance verification for construction, maintenance, and installation activities.
- Conduct and review contractor risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and safe work plans to ensure hazards are identified and controls are implemented before work begins.
- Perform routine field safety walks and audits of contractor work activities, and provide real‑time coaching and corrective actions as needed to maintain safe work practices.
- Oversee contractor training requirements, site orientation expectations, and compliance with applicable EHS procedures, permits, and life safety requirements.
- Support system impairment reviews, design reviews, and project planning activities to ensure EHS risks are evaluated and controlled prior to execution.
- Lead or support investigations involving contractor‑related incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and tracked to closure.
- Assist with the implementation and management of ISO
14001 and ISO
45001 elements and conformance requirements, including internal audits, support for third‑party audits, and management of corrective and preventive actions. - Partner with Facilities, Operations, Engineering, and project teams to integrate EHS requirements into equipment installations, contractor activities, and facility modifications.
- Conduct process hazard analyses and risk assessments, including work that may fall under Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
- Monitor applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations and ensure contractor‑related activities and site operations remain compliant.
- Support hazardous waste, hazardous materials, air quality, wastewater, and other environmental compliance programs as needed for site operations.
- Assist with industrial hygiene exposure assessments and sampling in contractor work areas, as needed, to evaluate potential exposures and verify the effectiveness of control measures.
- Help lead and strengthen a proactive health and safety culture through employee and contractor engagement, training, inspections, and clear communication of expectations.
- Assist in supporting other facilities when necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety compliance, preferably in semiconductor manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, or a highly regulated industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading contractor safety programs, including contractor onboarding, permit‑to‑work systems, field oversight, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety principles, life safety requirements, and safe work practices for maintenance, installation, and project activities in an operating facility.
- Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations, including occupational safety and environmental compliance requirements.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, inspections, and corrective action follow‑up.
- Experience supporting ISO
14001 and ISO
45001 management systems is preferred. - Knowledge of hazardous materials, hazardous waste, and process safety management concepts is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence contractors, employees, and site leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Expected wage range: $86,400 to $118,800 (actual offer may vary).
