Wireless Telecommunications Design Project Lead (35377)
Location:
Any location within the United States. Ideal candidates will be near a client U.S. based office; otherwise the role is remote if the candidate is more than 50 miles from a client office.
Pay Range: $39.00 - $88.00 per hour.

Responsibilities- May work on several concurrent projects and will be responsible to ensure that projects are completed on time.
- Design and provide technical design leadership of systems for data center buildings including Commercial DAS, Public Safety DAS, LMR, Site Radio, RoIP, Wi‑Fi and Tower Studies.
- Design Wireless systems in iBwave and EDX.
- Coordinate with BIM designers to create drawing packages.
- Coordinate with AHJ’s, Radio System Owners, and the Carriers.
- Create or modify DIV 27 specifications.
- Conduct site visits.
- Review technical documents.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Technical or associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience actively designing wireless telecommunications systems including LMR 2‑way radio, Public Safety DAS, OTA DAS, Neutral Host DAS, and DRAN DAS.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner, or a combination of different modeling programs.
- Experience working with clients to identify wireless communication needs.
- Experience troubleshooting wireless communication system issues from field teams.
- Knowledge of Noise Floor, SNIR, Return Loss, VSWR and optimization of networks during design and installation.
- Thorough knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 1221, NFPA 1225, and IFC section 510.
- Knowledge of Carrier KPI’s, IBC, FCC part 20 & 90, FCC OET bulletin 65, MOTOTRBO systems, Motorola R56 installation standards, DMR Tier III, Navisworks.
- Self‑motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers and clients.
- Excellent project management skills and familiarity responding to RFPs.
- Experience creating budgets, schedules, and identifying and mitigating company risk.
- iBwave Level 2 Certification required.
- EDX or Motorola design certifications.
- FCC GROL.
- Multiple OEM product certifications.
- Electrical Engineering or Communication Engineering degree.
- EIT or PE license.
