Overview
Test Engineer II in the Footwear Lab with strong problem solving, results orientation, and multi-tasking skills. The role focuses on completing standard materials and mechanical tests, analyzing data, and communicating results to cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities- Conduct standard material and mechanical tests as part of product validation.
- Review and analyze test data; write reports and communicate results to design, product management, materials, quality, color, and manufacturing teams.
- Assist more senior engineers on testing-related projects; provide guidance and training to others in her/his area of expertise.
- Identify changes in testing protocols or equipment to improve accuracy and lab efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to test plans and specifications.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in test design, data collection, data analysis, or equipment design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with product and materials testing; experience with statistical data analysis.
- Basic knowledge of biomechanics and/or CAD is a plus.
- Ability to travel occasionally (around 5%).
- Hands-on experience with universal testing machines for products (minimum 2 years).
