Product Test Engineer II
Location:
Beaverton, OR Duration: 13 months
Position Requirements:
- On-site role at PHK; 5 days/week on site, typical work hours
- Contract will run ~13 months from start date
- Bachelor's degree minimum required for this role
- Minimum of 2 years' experience required in a lab/testing environment
Top must-have skills include the following:
- Hands on experience with product/materials testing
- Self starter
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with little oversight
- Adaptable team player
- Ability to work in ambiguity
Skills that would make a candidate stand out:
- Experience with statistical analysis
- Experience with universal testing machines (UTMs) or Instron machines
- AutoCAD experience
- 3D printing experience
Responsibilities:
- The main focus of the role will be to test basketball footwear products - not athlete-facing/human subject participants, but the product itself
- ETW will work with ~2-3 others on a daily basis; larger team is ~18
- 1 round of interviews anticipated
Who We Are Looking For:
We're looking for a Test Engineer II in the Footwear Lab with strong problem solving, results orientation, and multi-tasking skills.
What You Will Work On:
You will complete standard materials and mechanical tests, review and analyze data, and write reports and communicate the results to the teams.
You will also assist more senior engineers on testing related projects, consult and train others in your area of expertise, and help identify changes in protocols or equipment within the lab to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Who You Will Work With:
You will work with product creation teams to ensure the quality of footwear products.
What You Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or related field required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in test design, data collection, data analysis, and/or equipment design is required.
Strong written and oral communication skill with an ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audience required.
Experience with product and materials testing is required.
Experience with statistical analysis of data required
Basic knowledge of biomechanics and/or CAD would be a plus
Ability to travel occasionally (5%)
