Lay your head and count numbers!We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail‑oriented, and experienced Permanent Property Accountant to join our team in the Mortgage industry. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your accounting skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. You will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our property portfolio, ensuring the accuracy of all transactions, and providing financial insights to help drive our business strategy.

- Oversee and manage the daily accounting activities including Accounts Receivable, property management, and general ledger functions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Coordinate with the property management team to ensure accurate and timely payment of all lease obligations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and financial forecasts.
- Maintain accurate records of all property‑related transactions and documents.
- Participate in the preparation and review of property and equipment budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory reporting as needed.
- Provide financial advice to management to help them make well‑informed decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting or related field.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable, Property Management, General Ledger, and Accounting principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and manage multiple assignments.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of the mortgage industry and property management is a plus.
- CPA certification is preferred but not required.
