Join our team as an Activities Aide
, where you’ll bring joy, connection, and creativity to our residents’ lives. In this role, you’ll engage residents in fun, safe, and enriching activities and help bring special events to life throughout the year—from planning and set-up to clean-up and celebration. This role is onsite in Beaverton and may be required to work weekends. Maryville is a faith-based, nonprofit care facility in Beaverton, Oregon, dedicated to the healing mission of the Sisters of St.

• Assists in carrying out activity programs as identified in the monthly calendar and as instructed by the activity’s director.
• Provides one-to-one programming for residents who cannot participate in a group setting.
• Coordinates with the activity’s director and other staff as necessary to bring residents to and from activities and events.
• Assists in decorating for the holidays with the help of residents and the volunteers and helps carry out special events.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Experience working in the long-term care setting.
• Experience working with individuals living with physical or cognitive disabilities, including individuals with Dementia.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to establish strong rapport with Maryville residents and their families and friends.
• Must be an individual with abundance of patience.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of residents, staff and volunteers.
• A proven track record of reliability and a strong attention to detail.

• Works in temperature-controlled office areas, but frequently moves through the entire facility, including patient rooms, and common lobbies.
• Characterized by moderate noise levels with frequent interruptions.
• Required to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift, push, pull or move at least 50 pounds independently.
• Requires regular bending, stooping, reaching, strong dexterity, and kneeling.
• Must be able to read, understand and speak English fluently.
