We are currently seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated in-house therapy team. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, person-centered care to adults with a wide range of diagnoses and disabilities — with a special emphasis on supporting aging in place. As a PTA, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by promoting mobility, independence, and overall well-being through tailored therapeutic interventions.

- Perform initial screenings for new community residents and individuals referred by nursing staff to determine therapy needs.
- Assist in the evaluation process and gather data to support treatment planning and implementation under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Communicate evaluation findings effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions that align with individual treatment goals, following professional standards and facility procedures.
- Monitor and document treatment times, progress notes, and outcomes in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Adjust treatment plans based on resident response and physician guidance to maximize outcomes.
- Support reimbursement processes by understanding basic insurance and billing practices related to therapy services.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on the proper use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
- Collaborate effectively with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Maintain safety protocols, including infection control, universal precautions, and OSHA standards.
- Graduate of an accredited therapy program - (PTA)
- Current state licensure
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
