IT Project Manager, Systems Analyst
Akkodi's is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) for a 12 Months contract position with a client located in Beaverton OR 97005
. This role ensures successful delivery of high-impact projects by aligning stakeholders, managing risks, go‑to‑market plans, and program schedules to ensure timely delivery. Provide regular updates to executive leadership through steering committees and governance forums, ensuring transparency, accountability, and strategic alignment. Manage budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships as needed comes as a plus.
Technical Program Manager (TPM) Duration: 12 Months Pay Range: $45/hr - $52/hr on W2 (without benefits), the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location and other factors. Top 3
Required Skills:
1. Cross-Functional Program Leadership & Execution
End‑to‑end ownership of complex technical programs that span engineering, product, design and operations. This isn't project tracking, it's orchestrating people, priorities and dependencies to deliver outcomes. Success will depend on their ability to:
- Drive alignment on scope, milestones, and success metrics across multiple teams.
- Keep program moving in a fast pace, fluid environment despite competing priorities and ambiguity.
- Translate business goals into executable program plans and timelines.
This role will have frequent interactions with executive leadership, and steering committees, which makes communication a critical skill. Strong stakeholder management is what allows the TPM to influence without authority and keep large initiatives aligned. Clear confident communication is required. They will need to:
- Synthesize complex program status into clear, executive-level narratives.
- Surface risks early and propose concrete mitigation paths.
- Maintain transparency and accountability through dashboards and regular updates.
They don't need to code, but they do need to speak the language. This role requires technical acumen (Cloud, APIs, Data Platforms) combined with Agile/Scrum methodologies and KPI tracking. They will need to:
- Partner effectively with engineering on feasibility, sequencing, and tradeoffs.
- Champion agile planning, prioritization, and continuous improvement.
- Use data, metrics, and dashboards (e.g., Azure Dev Ops, Power BI) to guide decisions and measure progress.
- Lead end-to-end execution of technical programs, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Partner with engineering, product, design, and operations teams to define scope, milestones, and success metrics.
- Drive program planning, prioritization, and execution across multiple teams and geographies.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve cross-functional issues, and ensure timely delivery of program objectives.
- Champion agile methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
- Develop and maintain program documentation, dashboards, and executive-level reporting.
- Provide regular updates to executive leadership through steering committees and governance forums, ensuring transparency, accountability, and strategic alignment.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships as needed.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in technical program management, product operations, or engineering leadership.
- Proven track record of delivering complex, cross‑functional programs in a fast-paced environment.
