Materials Development Specialist
Join our team in a dynamic role focused on the technical aspects of materials development. You will be working within the apparel sector, specializing in sportswear and lifestyle products, focusing on base textiles, prints, and dye processes. This role is integral to our product creation teams, working closely with designers, tech developers, and product managers.
RequiredSkills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Materials Development.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in the technical side of materials design, including briefing, testing, validation, and system setup for production.
- Technical knowledge in yarns, knitting, weaving, dyeing, printing, and finishing techniques.
- Prior work experience at a Fortune 500 retail brand or within the client's industry.
- Applicants must be LOCAL and able to work directly for Artech on W2.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product creation teams.
- Familiarity with software such as PCX, Smartsheets, and Miro.
- Manage the technical aspects of material development processes.
- Collaborate with designers to receive briefs and translate them into production-ready materials.
- Ensure all materials meet testing and validation requirements before production.
