Data Center Technician - L2

Summary

• Carry out rack, stack, and cable installation of servers, storage, networking, and GPU systems in a high-performance computing environment.
• Install rails, mount equipment, and label assets while ensuring proper airflow and cable management.
• Connect and verify power, fiber, and copper network cabling per data center standards.
• Assist with hardware moves, adds, and changes (MACs) across the data center floor.
• Follow detailed deployment runbooks and engineering documentation for installations and migrations.
• Conduct basic hardware validation, LED/port checks, and physical troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate asset tracking, labeling, and documentation using internal tools.
• Collaborate with data center engineers and network teams during deployments and migrations.
• Adhere strictly to ESD, safety, and security protocols for all tasks.
• Support decommissioning and physical removal of end-of-life hardware.
• Required:
  
  Recent hands-on data center experience, strong understanding of server/network rack layouts, structured cabling, and PDUs; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow precise instructions.
• Preferred:
  Experience in hyperscale or GPU-dense data centers, exposure to HPC environments, knowledge of hot/cold aisle containment, and familiarity with basic Linux commands.
