Lab Supervisor; Bilingual

Must be bilingual English & Chinese, position is on-site at the Beaverton, OR lab.

• Monitors quality metrics daily for the responsible team(s) and ensures they meet QCD standards.
• Monitor production progress and delay rate, provide insights to team leads on how to arrange workload more efficiently.
• Guide troubleshooting and solving issues with team members.
• Assist with benchwork as needed, especially when close to settlement date and when team is short-staffed.
• Monitor, arrange, and analyze testing for workflow optimization.
• Implement new SOP, standards, workflows, and TAT by deadline given by upper management.
• Coordinate with commercial team, ensure timely delivery and appropriate resolution of operational issues.

• Supervise and guide lab technicians and ensure the timely completion of day-to-day tasks.
• Evaluate team members accordingly and provide upper management with accurate evaluation. Understand team members strength and weaknesses and where best to utilize their skills.
• Train team members with email correspondences with other departments.
• Create KPI and training programs and evaluation standards.

• 3 years of related work experience
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in molecular biology, medicine, or a related field
• At least 1 year of experience leading a team
• Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English due to frequent communication with HQ in China
• Hands on experience with NGS techniques
• Excellent organization and leadership skills
• Good oral and written communications skills
