Setup Technician - Plastic Injection Molding

Set-up, remove and troubleshoot injection mold tooling and auxiliary equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on injection molds.

Essential

Job Responsibilities Ability to set-up molds.

Ability to troubleshoot machine processes.

Ability to read specifications to determine machine set-up and prescribed temperature and time settings.

Ability to repair and maintain machines and auxiliary equipment using hand and power tools.

Enter molding parameters in the press.

Additional

Job Responsibilities Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Required

Education and Experience High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Required Skills Strong written/verbal communication

Good decision-making skills

Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities

Regular and predictable attendance

At least two years recent experience in an injection molding environment

Excellent math skills needed

Ability to read blueprints and other engineering drawings

Knowledge and ability to use various hand tools

Basic PC and internet skills
