Manufacturing Systems Engineer - Apparel Product Integrity

General Information:
Location and/or time zone: PHK (Beaverton WHQ) - Looking at possible travel up to 20%. Visit US garment factories located around the US - East coast, California, Wisconsin and some local.
Reason for opening:
Team needs support, also have a possible retirement coming up. Could lead to an open FTE role.
Expected contract length: 1 Year - Could lead to an open FTE role.
Nike Organization:
Manufacturing & Systems Engineering, Americas
Team details & who they will work with:
Manager sits at WHQ but they have team members all over the world. This role would be supporting the US Garment factories.

Desired Candidate Profile :

Minimum required years of experience:
Quality assurance roles experience (10+ years)

Education requirements:

A bachelor s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications are preferred.

Must have skills:
Garment industry experience
Quality issue management experience

Great to have (prefer to have at least 1 of this 2 requirements):
Product Development experience.
Manufacturing excellence experience (Process Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Data Analysis)

Nice to have skills:
External vendor relation experience (in our case external factories).
Worked at Nike or another major garment brand.

Software/technical requirements:
Microsoft Office (must be proficient in Excel)

Experience with GSD (General Sewing Data) in the garment industry is a pre-determined motion time system used to establish scientifically calculated, accurate, and consistent standard times for sewing operations. The method uses 36 elemental data codes (e.g., pick up, align, sew) to analyze and optimize methods, labor costs, and efficiency.

Previous Nike/industry experience preference:
Nice to have but may be hard to find
