Introduction
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Systems Engineer specializing in Apparel Product Integrity to join our team. This role is essential in supporting US garment factories and ensuring product quality and integrity across our manufacturing processes.
RequiredSkills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality assurance roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications are preferred.
- Experience in the garment industry.
- Proficiency in managing quality issues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with GSD (General Sewing Data) in the garment industry.
- Prior work experience in the client's industry is preferred.
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
- Experience in implementing and sustaining Continuous Improvement Methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Proficiency in process engineering, with a track record of successful process improvement and optimization projects.
- Experience in product development.
- Experience in manufacturing excellence (Process Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Data Analysis).
- Experience with external vendor relations, particularly with external factories.
- Previous experience working at a major garment brand.
- Support US garment factories to maintain product integrity and quality standards.
- Travel up to 20% to visit garment factories across the US, including the East Coast, California, Wisconsin, and local sites.
- Leadership
:
Lead to develop and implement Quality, Lean, Industrial Engineering, and Garment Engineering principles within Client’s manufacturing partner base to elevate their overall capabilities. - Manufacturing Readiness
:
Leverage manufacturing integration, engineering tools and best practices with quality/process engineering to mitigate risk at production. - Manufacturing Capability
:
Operate with world-class production, lean, quality, and engineering processes to ensure perfect product is made right at the first time. - Issues Management
:
Support Client’s Issues Management team to conduct comprehensive review, analysis, and resolution of product issues. - Inspections & Audits
:
Reference quality measurement and verification of post-production materials and product, to make informed product decisions. - Collaborate with a global team to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure consistent product quality.
