Job Description
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Process and Operations Specialist for our client, a precision manufacturing company supporting advanced materials and technical manufacturing operations, in Beaverton, OR. This hands-on role supports ongoing efforts to improve quality, efficiency, and workflow consistency across manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is analytical, self-motivated, and enjoys working directly with production teams to solve problems and implement practical improvements.
Pay & Schedule
Pay: $27+/hour DOE
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Position Type:
Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
• Work with production leadership to identify waste, inefficiencies, and process variation
• Collect, organize, and analyze production data including cycle times, scrap rates, downtime, and throughput
• Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist with implementing process improvements and standard work procedures
• Track and communicate improvement results and performance metrics
• Support workflow consistency and process documentation efforts
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to solve manufacturing challenges
• Participate in hands-on observation and evaluation of production processes
Required Qualifications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data organization
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively across multiple departments
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing operations
• Ability to balance office and production floor responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Chemistry, Business, or related field
• Experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial environments
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience with process improvement, workflow analysis, or production metrics
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations or engineering teams
Additional Requirements
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, including THC testing

Work Environment
This role is split between office and production floor environments. Employees should expect a combination of standing, walking, and sitting throughout the shift. No consistent heavy lifting is required. Safety glasses are required at all times, with gloves and lab coats used as needed. All required PPE is provided by the employer. Employees should wear closed-toed shoes and long pants.
