Job Description
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a CO2 Laser Operator for our client, a precision manufacturing company supporting advanced ceramic and technical material production, in Beaverton, OR. This position offers extensive on-the-job training and is ideal for dependable, coachable individuals looking to build a long-term career in advanced manufacturing. Previous laser machining experience is not required. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Pay & Schedule
Pay:
Starting at $24/hour
Shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Position Type:
Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
• Load and unload parts into laser machining equipment
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment
• Identify quality defects and ensure parts meet specifications
• Follow production procedures and quality standards
• Learn laser machine operation and setup procedures
• Assist with maintaining equipment and work areas
• Support production goals and continuous improvement efforts
• Progressively learn machine setup, laser programming, and process optimization
Required Qualifications
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow instructions and accept coaching
• Strong attention to detail
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in technical work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, or inspection equipment
• Manufacturing, production, assembly, or warehouse experience
• Interest in machining, engineering, electronics, or manufacturing technology
Additional Requirements
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, including THC testing

Work Environment
This role operates in a precision manufacturing environment. Employees should expect a combination of standing, walking, and sitting throughout the shift. No consistent heavy lifting is required. Safety glasses are required at all times, with gloves and lab coats used as needed. All required PPE is provided by the employer. Employees should wear closed-toed shoes and lon g pants.
