Recycling Technician 1 Wednesday‑Saturday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM Base Rate $19.50 + $3.00 Shift Differential
This position supports the manufacturing process by maintaining assigned machines, assisting in hazardous materials operations, and ensuring a clean and orderly work area.
ResponsibilitiesPerforms maintenance tasks to sustain the operation of assigned machines, assists Hazardous Materials operations, and maintains clean and orderly manufacturing areas.
Qualifications- High school education or equivalent.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience may be considered.
- Related work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Initial 24 hours of training in RCRA hazardous waste operations, OSHA, and RCRA emergency response training.
- Ability to understand and apply detailed written and oral instructions, documents, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to identify hazardous materials for the work area, their proper safe usage, and the health hazards of applicable substances.
- Ability to use a computer.
- Certified forklift operator, or able to obtain certification.
Work takes place in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and chemicals. Requires use of PPE. Ability to stand or sit for long periods; good manual dexterity, fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to use full range of motion. Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds with assistance.
