The Equipment Maintenance Technician will support production at our Beaverton Cleanroom Wafer Fabrication Facility by maintaining and repairing manufacturing tools, troubleshooting component‑level failures, and improving tool reliability and efficiency.
Responsibilities- Assist in the planning, execution, and completion of tool maintenance and repair activities, both scheduled and unscheduled.
- Perform root‑cause troubleshooting to identify and resolve fault conditions at the component level.
- Support ongoing tool development and enhancement projects.
- Initiate and manage projects aimed at cost reduction, tool availability improvement, and overall system efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering tool owners and conduct hands‑on investigations to resolve hardware issues.
- Work from technical manuals, specifications, drawings, schematics, and test equipment to interpret instructions and complete tasks.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and solutions clearly, both verbally and in written reports.
- Maintain a safe work environment in a cleanroom setting, wearing required PPE and cleanroom garments.
- Operate with minimal supervision and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
- High‑school diploma or GED.
- Ability to wear and maintain required cleanroom PPE, including full‑body jumpsuits, safety glasses, nitrile gloves, face masks, hairnets, hoods, and closed‑toe cleanroom shoes.
- Hands‑tools experience and competency in reading and interpreting written procedures and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer and keyboarding skills for data entry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and follow‑up in a high‑accuracy environment.
- Physical ability to walk, stand continuously, ascend/descend stairs, and lift up to 35 pounds for a 12‑hour shift.
- Current pursuit of an associate degree or formal training in maintenance/mechanical engineering.
- Hands‑on maintenance and repair background, ideally within semiconductor or cleanroom environments such as CMP.
- Experience with analytical troubleshooting methods (Root Cause Analysis, 5‑Why, First Time Right repair).
For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may require export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce – Bureau of Industry and Security or the U.S. Department of State – Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
