Maintenance Technician - Mechanic; Industrial Maintenance

Compensation: $24 to $32 an hour (based on experience and skills)

As a Maintenance Technician at Pro Ampac Beaverton, you’ll be a key part of keeping production running safely and efficiently. This role is focused on rapid response, troubleshooting, and equipment uptime.

• Responding quickly to equipment breakdowns and restoring machines to service efficiently and safely
• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
• Troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical issues (motors, sensors, switches, wiring, and controls)
• Supporting pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems used in production equipment
• Diagnosing and resolving day‑to‑day equipment issues on the production floor
• Completing work orders and prioritizing tasks based on production downtime and urgency
• Collaborating with production staff to quickly identify and resolve equipment problems
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records in CMMS or work order systems
• Following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Identifying longer‑term improvement opportunities when time allows, but primary focus is keeping equipment running today

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical systems is a plus
• 2–4 years of experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or equipment repair
• Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of basic electrical troubleshooting
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment quickly in a production environment
  
  Familiarity with motors, drives, sensors, and industrial machinery preferred
• Exposure to PLCs or automated systems is a plus, but not required and not a primary focus of the role
• Experience with CMMS or work order systems preferred
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and mechanical drawings
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a focus on urgency and practical solutions
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, reactive maintenance environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work (standing, bending, climbing, etc.)
• Strong teamwork mindset with a safety‑first attitude
