Bill Rate: $59-$63 Hourly OT40
Job Description:
- On-site role at PHK; typical work hours, 4/1 hybrid schedule. 1-2 times a week there may be a need for an evening call with other geos.
- Contract is to help cover FTE leave; will run ~1 year from start
- Potential for travel (HM mentioned 2 potential trips, domestic and international)
- Degree preferred, not required
- 5+ years' experience minimum preferred, ideally in performance footwear development
Top must-have skills include the following:

Skills that would make a candidate stand out:
- Footwear development experience, specifically at Nike (or similar brand)
- Model view reading abilities (3D CAD)
- Connection to/passion for basketball (previous wear testing, athlete experience, etc.)
- ETW will help develop basketball footwear in a fast-paced environment. Will work on signature athlete products, so confidentiality and discretion are key.
- ETW will work with ~8 other developers on a direct team; lots of cross functional work between color and design teams, PLM, other geos, etc.
- HM anticipates 2 rounds of interviews; likely 1 virtual, 1 on-site
- Please note that this is a development role, not design; candidates must be familiar with the process of footwear development, not just the initial design portion
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Sr. Footwear Product Developer to be an integral part of our Footwear Product Team, creating amazing footwear for athletes! The ideal candidate needs to have demonstrated project management, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in a product creation setting. We are looking for people that are self-starters, quick learners, clear communicators, team players and that exhibit strong leadership skills.
As a member of our footwear development team, you will create the future footwear and solve problems that make athletes better.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As our Sr. Footwear Product Developer, you'll drive product and process excellence within a team environment for your assigned projects. Working on complex footwear projects, you will convert a project brief and a 2D design rendering into a 3D sample that meets the needs of the consumer as well as the needs of the business. You'll utilize your knowledge and experience to enhance product excellence.
You'll engage in all phases of the product process to ensure projects are managed according to critical dates and completed on time, while meeting design intent, performance goals, costing/profitability and sustainability targets. In addition, you'll ensure that your projects are ready for the commercialization process and can ultimately be manufactured.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
As a member of the Footwear Team, you will work collaboratively with key functional partners throughout the Product Development process. This includes Footwear Engineering, Footwear Product Testing, Footwear Material Design and Material Development, Product Design, Product Management, Product Merchandising, Sourcing and Operations, and our overseas partners – both within client and external to clinet. You will need to navigate the client matrix to ensure that our processes model and match client Footwear Development standard methodologies for product excellence.
You are the key point of contact for our overseas partners and ensure that communication during the product development process is clear and accurate.
