Footwear Product Developer

We are seeking a Footwear Product Developer for a one-year contract assignment. This role is pivotal in the development of performance basketball footwear within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will manage project plans, ensure accountability among team members, and collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams including design, color, and product line management. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality and discretion, as it involves work on signature athlete products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans for performance basketball footwear.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders in other geographies, which may require occasional evening calls.
• Ensure project deadlines are met and maintain accountability within the project team.
• Facilitate communication between design, color, product line management, and development teams.
• Uphold confidentiality and discretion when working with signature athlete product lines.
• Engage in the full footwear development process, distinct from initial design.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of 5+ years of experience is required, with a preference for experience in performance footwear development.

Strong project management abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to create and execute project plans while holding team members accountable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in footwear development with a major athletic brand.
• Proficiency in reading 3D CAD model views.
• A personal connection to or passion for basketball, such as experience as an athlete or in wear-testing.
• Self-starting, ambitious, and deadline-oriented work ethic.
• Confidence in influencing and communicating with teammates.
