About the Role
Currently, this role blends deep technical expertise with strong customer engagement to deliver customized solutions across a wide range of industrial applications. Responsibilities include pre‑sales, sales and post‑sales support, ensuring successful implementation and long‑term satisfaction with SEW‑EURODRIVE technologies.
Pay Range$85K - $110K annually (compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Candidates with additional relevant degrees or certifications and extensive experience may be considered for the higher end of the salary range).
LocationThe candidate must reside within the assigned territory, preferably in or near one of the following metropolitan areas:
Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Spokane.
Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering field; or 5+ years of direct experience with motion control systems.
KeySkills and Abilities
- Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering field preferred; or 5+ years of direct experience with motion control systems, including servomotors, AC and DC drives, controls, PLCs, HMIs, encoders, and fieldbus communication (e.g., PROFINET, Ether Net/IP, EtherCAT).
- Proven ability to take applications from concept through startup with strong troubleshooting and problem‑resolution skills (pre‑sales, sales and post‑sales activities).
- Capable of evaluating multiple technical options and implementing effective solutions.
- Active listener with the ability to ask thoughtful questions and respond professionally.
- Strong applied knowledge of physics and mathematics for system sizing, load calculations, and selecting appropriate drive and control components.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Promote, support and grow our Drives, Controls, and Automation product lines — including 24V/48V DC systems, Variable Frequency Drives, Servomotors, Motion Controllers, PLCs, and HMIs.
- Size, propose and sell SEW‑EURODRIVE drive systems (including inverters, controls, automation, and electro‑mechanical solutions) in a cost‑conscious manner across applications such as conveying, pick and place, winding, indexing, hoisting, and pumping.
- Support customers and SEW technical staff during startup, commissioning, and programming of drives, controls, and automation products.
- Provide field service assistance and application expertise as needed.
- Deliver internal and external product training for sales, engineering, and customer personnel. Travel frequently to domestic and international customer sites, including overnight stays, and be available for work outside regular business hours.

A 10% shift premium is paid for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.
